A ruptured Achilles tendon for Tatum has ended the 27-year-old star’s 2024-25 season — and could sideline him for a majority, if not all, of Boston’s 2025-26 campaign.

Jayson Tatum underwent surgery to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon Tuesday afternoon after suffering the injury late in the fourth quarter of Monday's Game 4 loss to the New York Knicks.

An Achilles tear typically comes with a recovery timeline of eight to 12 months, so he should be expected to miss much of next season in addition to the current postseason.
