The Baltimore Orioles will alter the left-field dimensions at Camden Yards for the second time in three years ahead of Opening Day 2025, top baseball operations executive Mike Elias revealed on Friday.

The Orioles last changed the dimensions of the left-field wall, which earned the nickname “Mount Wall-timore,” moving it about 30 feet back, between the 2021 and 2022 seasons in an effort to pursue a more neutral and pitcher-friendly array at Camden Yards. At the time, Oriole Park was “extremely homer prone,” as Elias put it.

For the Baltimore Orioles, it was mission accomplished when they altered the dimensions of Camden Yards to move in the left field fences, erect a higher wall and make life more pleasant for pitchers of all handedness before the 2022 season.
