BOSTON -- Connor McDavid scored a short-handed goal and also had an assist for the Edmonton Oilers in a 3-1 victory against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Thursday. McDavid has 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) during an eight-game point streak.
Overall, there is absolutely no harm in the Bruins claiming Kolyachonok off waivers. At a minimum, he will serve as a solid depth defenseman for the Bruins. However, the possibility of him being a surprise for the Black and Gold should not be ruled out.
