Byron Buxton has given a lot of thought lately to the concept of “home.” He probably used no word more often than that one during his hourlong question-and-answer session Monday, ahead of his appearance in the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game,

Minnesota Twins All-Star centerfielder Byron Buxton came into the Home Run Derby with odds that put him in the lower half of potential winners. The Georgia native was excited for an opportunity to perform in Atlanta, and his Brixton was all about the Gatorade and towel.

Buxton deserves serious props for being drafted by a team, developing with a team and then becoming the star of that team. He's built a family in Minneapolis and he's a Twins legend for life as his love for the city is reciprocated and then some by the city.
