The first cheesy segment of the season then occurred: An odd man in a red mask appeared on the TV and said he was behind the disappearances of Julie and the HOH relic. Julie called the houseguests on a phone and told them that eight people would try to find her and the other eight would look for the HOH relic.

It was definitely a night of mysteries as Big Brother 27 kicked off its wildest summer yet, with one of the coolest house designs we've seen in the 25 years this show has been on the air.

This season's theme is "A Summer of Mystery," featuring a masked visitor, a secret accomplice and a mystery houseguest.
