Florida basketball's star point guard Walter Clayton Jr. was named the 2025 SEC Male Athlete of the Year after a spectacular senior season.

The All-American guard on Tuesday was named the Southeastern Conference's Roy F. Kramer Male Athlete of the Year, the league announced. He is Florida's 14th all-time Kramer Athlete of the Year winner and first from the men's basketball program.

The SEC named Florida guard Walter Clayton Jr. the Roy F. Kramer Male Athlete of the Year after he led the Gators to the national title.

"He had a strong faith and was such a good, kind young man," a family member wrote about Clayton Meadows on social media.
