Since the start of the 2014-15 season, Preston North End have beaten Coventry City nine times in 11 attempts – their most joint-league wins against any side in that time.

Remarkably, Coventry have failed to beat Preston in the league in 17 years. This weekend promises to be a tough encounter though and the North End manager has some tricky selection calls to make. Liam Lindsay, Ali McCann, Sam Greenwood and Emil Riis all came into the side in midweek.

Earning maximum points from only three of their 16 away outings in the league during 2024-25, Heckingbottom's troops are hardly formidable on the road, but their most recent outing ended in a standout triumph at Carrow Road, where a Milutin Osmajic strike was enough to defeat Norwich City.
