DePaul University student athlete Chase Stegall, who played on the men's soccer team, has died at the age of 20, school officials said.

A DePaul University soccer player was found dead in his dorm room Monday, officials said. Chase Stegall, 20, was originally from Atlanta and was sophomore on the men’s soccer team. DePaul athletics director DeWayne Peevy and men’s soccer coach Mark Plotkin said Stegall was a “dedicated teammate and kindhearted friend.”

Chase Stegall, a sophomore midfielder on the DePaul men's soccer team, died on Monday. Stegall's father, Milton, is a Canadian Football Hall of Famer.
