The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Cleburne County, Ala ., Newton, Rockdale and Walton Counties. Parts of Cleburne County have already received 5-7 inches of rain with an additional 1-2 inches possible, Deon says.

The watch was issued for Grande Ronde Valley, Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon, John Day Basin, Ochoco-John Day Highlands, East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades and Central Oregon as well as Wallowa County.

Heavy rain is forecast for Thursday afternoon, east of the Cascades, which could trigger flash floods in and near areas previously affected by wildfires.
