Ford Motor Co. said Wednesday it is changing its electric vehicle strategy, canceling plans for an all-electric three-row SUV and delaying the launch of a full-size EV pickup.
Ford said it will no longer make all-electric three-row SUVs and will instead produce hybrid SUVs. The automaker said it will prioritize the introduction of a new, all-electric commercial van in 2026.
Ford did not immediately return a request for comment on its EV plans for the US, either. However, in Europe, Ford announced previously it will phase out all internal-combustion engines by 2030.
