Gayle King, Katy Perry and Lauren Sánchez will join three other women on the next mission from Jeff Bezos' rocket company, Blue Origin announced Thursday.

Pop star Katy Perry and "CBS Mornings" co-host Gayle King are among the women headed to space on a Blue Origin rocket this spring.

“I don’t know how to explain being terrified and excited at the same time. It’s like how I felt about to deliver a baby,” King said during the announcement on CBS Mornings. “I thought I wanted to open myself up to new adventures and step out of my comfort zone.”
