The heat remains the main weather story this weekend and into early next week as a Heat Advisory remains in effect for areas along and south of the I-70 corridor.
With temperatures to feel as high as 105 degrees, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory through 8 p.m. July 26.
A heat advisory has been extended until 8 p.m. Friday for Bartholomew, Decatur, Lawrence, Jackson and Jennings counties, including the cities of Columbus, Shelbyville, North Vernon and Seymour.
