"It's a step up from, obviously, what we did in the past week, but still, not enough. Not close to enough," quarterback Geno Smith said postgame.
The Panthers were 13.5-point underdogs, per ESPN BET lines, making their outright win the largest for an underdog this season and the largest in the NFL since 2023. It also served as the second-largest upset win in franchise history and the largest since 2000.
The Jaguars lived up to their bold city claim with some gutsy calls that won them the game over the Las Vegas Raiders, but one decision stood out in particular.
After five lead changes in the second half and another 15 minutes to settle the score, the Raiders suffered their sixth loss of the season, 30-29, to the Jacksonville Jaguars. While the game ultimately came down to a two-point conversion, a few other miscues were far more costly in the result of this game.
