Houston scored a pair of unearned runs and the bullpen kept the lead after six strong innings from Framber Valdez to beat the Mariners.

Christian Walker and Jeremy Peña had two hits apiece and the Houston Astros scored two runs in the first on errors by Seattle and held on for a 2-1 win over the Mariners.

Left-hander Framber Valdez held the Mariners to one run and four hits in six innings, picking up his third win in a span of four starts and leading the Astros to a 2-1 victory over the first-place Mariners on Saturday afternoon at Daikin Park.
