A federal court ruling over whether President Trump can deploy the National Guard into Portland is expected to be delivered sometime Sunday.

A man was shot to death in North Portland Sunday night, police said. Officers arrived in the 9900 block of North Whitaker Road just before 10 p.m. to find a man attempting to give first aid to another man, according to the Portland Police Bureau. Paramedics soon arrived, but the victim died at the scene.
