Russia has continued its offensive attacks on Ukraine as it launches missiles and drone on Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital in the early hour, recorded death was high.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv had suffered one of the most horrific attacks since Russia’s invasion began in 2022. Russia pummelled much of Kyiv.

Russia fired 138 drones at targets across Ukraine in its latest overnight aerial assault, Kyiv’s air force has reported. Ukraine said they shot down 84 of the drones, and 41 more were either lost or downed using electronic warfare.

Apart from drones, 20 missiles of various types were fired at different parts of Ukraine, according to the air force, which said the barrage targeted mainly central and western areas of Ukraine.

Russia launched its biggest barrage of the war with nearly 500 drones at Ukraine, while the Kremlin says it remains open to prisoner exchanges.
