Following a shocking flurry of roster moves, the Giants erased a five-run deficit against the San Diego Padres to beat their divisional rival, 6-5, snapping a streak of 16 consecutive games without scoring more than four runs.

Jason Adam struck out the first batters he faced before surrendering a single to No.9 batter Tyler Fitzgerald that loaded the bases and a double by Heliot Ramos that tied the game 5-5 and moved Fitzgerald to third. Lee followed with a sacrifice fly that gave the Giants the lead.

Manny Machado had four hits, including a two-run single that tied the score with two outs in the ninth inning, and Jake Cronenworth drove in the go-ahead run in the 10th as the San Diego Padres rallied past the San Francisco Giants 3-2.
