Harper captured the award for the fourth time overall. He won his previous three Silver Sluggers as an outfielder.

Altuve’s seven Silver Sluggers are tied with former Chicago Cubs star Ryne Sandberg for the most by a second baseman in MLB history. Altuve sits No. 2 on the all-time postseason home runs list (trailing only Manny Ramirez), and he’s just one of three second basemen this century to win an MVP award (joining Dustin Pedroia and Jeff Kent).
