Aaron Sorkin is writing and will direct 'The Social Network Part II' at Sony Pictures, based on the Wall Street Journal's series 'The Facebook Files.'

The Social Network sequel is happening with Aaron Sorkin on board to write and direct the follow-up to the Oscar-winning film.

Deadline reports Syracuse University alumnus Aaron Sorkin has written a sequel to the Oscar-winning 2010 film, “The Social Network.” Sorkin will also direct the new movie, currently titled “The Social Network Part II.”
