Authorities say they plan to file terrorism and assault with intent to murder charges against the suspect in a weekend knife attack at a Walmart store in Michigan.

Authorities say 42-year-old Bradford James Gille walked into the store Saturday afternoon and began stabbing shoppers near the front checkout area with a folding knife. Victims ranged in age from 29 to 84, and one of them was a Walmart employee.

Eleven people were injured in a “random” stabbing by a suspect man with a folding knife-style weapon at a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan, Saturday, according to the Grand Traverse County sheriff.

Officials said the stabbings happened near the checkout area of the store and appeared to be random in nature.

"I'm still sitting and grappling with the weight of realizing that it was kind of a life-or-death moment," said Julia Martell, who witnessed the stabbing, which wounded 11 people.
