DALLAS (AP) — Valeri Nichushkin scored with 15 seconds remaining in regulation, then made one of NHL-leading Colorado's two shots in a shootout to beat Dallas 5-4 on Friday night, ending the Stars' franchise-record winning streak at 10 games.
Devon Toews scored the tiebreaking goal late in the third period, Martin Necas added an empty-netter to go with two assists, and the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Los Angeles Kings 4-2.
Nathan MacKinnon scored his 43rd goal and added the shootout winner to help the Avalanche defeat the Minnesota Wild 3-2 on Sunday at Ball Arena. Nicolas Roy scored his first goal with the Avs, Nazem Kadri posted an assist in his 2025-26 Avalanche debut and Valeri Nichushkin added a shootout goal.
