Blue Jays, Bo Bichette

Bo Bichette is expected to have a lot of interested teams this winter, and this division rival could be his best match.
To be the best, you have to beat the best. And what better way for the New York Yankees to do that than by poaching one of the Toronto Blue Jays' best players?
Bo Bichette's free agency is more active than it seems. The former Toronto Blue Jays star could re-sign north of the border, or have a litany of suitors such as the Red Sox, Yankees or Dodgers.
The Toronto Blue Jays could be the front-runners to sign Bo Bichette.Blue Jays commentator Buck Martinez claims Bichette wants to return to Toronto, and both sides want to get a deal done. Martinez appeared on MLB Network on Monday and said Bichette wants to be back in Toronto.
Bo Bichette, who was on the Blue Jays team that lost to the Dodgers in the World Series, appears to be embracing a new outlook on his free agency. Bichette has been a shortstop his whole career, but the consensus is that he'll eventually have to move off of that position.
As great a player and locker room presence as Alex Bregman is, Bichette is a better hitter and is four years younger. Both players will most likely require long-term deals. In that case, why not pursue the younger option who is more likely to be an effective player throughout the length of the contract?
Nevertheless, Alonso's explanation didn't sit well with Davis Schneider's dad, Steven. He provided his take after resharing MLB Network's clip, which highlighted Alonso's explanation on X. "Tell me you haven’t watched the (BlueJays) play baseball without telling me you haven’t watched (BlueJays) play baseball…," Steven captioned the post.
MLB insider believes Bo Bichette may not return to the Blue Jays and could sign for the Red Sox if the latter fails to re-sign Alex Bregman.
