Dedrick Mills leads charge for Calgary Stampeders up for CFL awards
Dedrick Mills is in the running for more than just the Canadian Football League’s rushing title. The Calgary Stampeders running back is also up for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player — that after being nominated for the award by the local chapter of the Football Reporters of Canada and the team’s coaching staff.
The 24-year-old Calgary Stampeders rookie and his backfield mate Dedrick Mills, with two rushing majors, helped the visitors to a 37-20 win against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before 22,313 at Hamilton Stadium and a step closer to securing a CFL playoff spot.
