Progressive supranuclear palsy and how awareness of the disease can move toward more therapies
The Rainbow Coalition announced this week that civil rights icon and Greenville native, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, has been hospitalized and is under observation for progressive supranuclear palsy, or PSP. It is a rare neurological disease affecting one in 15,000 people, and is frequently first misdiagnosed as Parkinson's disease.
