The Oklahoma Sooners finally looked like themselves as they overpowered Tennessee in Week 10. The 33-27 win made sure that Brent Venables’ team (7-2) is alive as it heads into a critical juncture of the regular season.

Lane Kiffin and the Rebels will remain in the Top-10 of the AP Top-25 after Saturday's win, significant shakeup in the poll.

The Sooners showed off their survival skills Saturday night.  They survived a dreadful first half on both sides of the ball. Survived a late turnover. Survived to see another day in the race to the College Football Playoff.

That was until linebacker Owen Heinecke screamed around the right side of the offensive line and crushed Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar. Aguilar coughed up the ball and R Mason Thomas scooped it up with one hand and with the other hand fought off a Volunteer to rumble for a 71-yard touchdown.

The Sooners faced numerous adversities against the Vols, including 102,000 noisy fans, but kept cool and are now making their move as the CFP rankings arrive.
