November's Full Moon is the Beaver Moon, and it's brighting up our skies a little bit more tonight because it's a supermoon. As of Wednesday, Nov. 5, the moon phase is Full Moon. This means 100% of the moon is lit up tonight, according to NASA's Daily Moon Observation.
Also tonight, the Southern Taurid meteor shower peaks with 5-10 green, gold, and orange hue meteors. Unfortunately, the supermoon will illuminate the sky to the point that you may find it hard to see many of the meteors. Later this month, the Leonid meteor shower peaks with greater numbers and closer to a darker, new moon sky.
