The Bills won't have cornerback Taron Johnson to help them try to slow down the Chiefs offense on Sunday afternoon.
Smith (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Bills, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs ' official site reports.
The Chiefs’ official list of inactive players included Smith after the fifth-year pro did not participate in any practices this week.
Chiefs guard Trey Smith exited the game in the second quarter with a back injury after briefly visiting the medical tent. He attempted to return but was unable to finish the next drive. Early in the third quarter, after Kansas City extended its lead to 28–0, the team announced: “Trey Smith has been ruled out.”
It sounds like he'll be able to suit up and start at right guard in a marquee matchup versus the Bills.
