An Alabama high school recently added a sensory-friendly section to their stands, allowing several students to experience their first football game.

Tuscaloosa Academy secured the No. 1 seed out of Region 5 and will travel to Class 3A Bayside Academy in Week 10 before hosting Round 1. Coach Josh Wright said the focus this week is getting as healthy as possible so the Knights can enter the postseason fresh and settled.

When this season began, the talent of Minor High School defensive end Marquis “MJ” Evans was known most by shrewd recruiters at programs like South Alabama, Alabama State and Kennesaw State.

With two days left in the 2025 Alabama high school football regular season, the top teams in each classification seem to have a firm hold on the No. 1 spot.

Although there could be some debate over the top spot when the 12 members of this year's group vote on teams for their first official top 25 ranking of the season, the bigger discussion will likely revolve around one-loss Alabama and undefeated Texas A&M for the No.

An early game against Georgia was alway going to be tough, and despite the fact that Tennessee should have won that game, it still counts in the loss column. You also knew a trip to Tuscaloosa was going to be a challenge considering the Volunteers haven’t won down there since 2003.

Linebacker Jeremiah Moon joined the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad on Oct. 21. On Sunday, the former Hoover High School standout could be on the field for the Panthers. On Saturday, Carolina announced Moon had been elevated from its practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
