Rescuers race against time to find eight coal miners trapped in Assam after the coal mine they were working in was inundated with sudden gush of water.

Coal India has brought in a pump of 500 GPM (gallons per minute) to dewater the mine. The installation of this pump is now underway.

Search and rescue operations continue for eight miners trapped in an Assam quarry, with only one body recovered so far.
