Point guard De’Aaron Fox agreed to a four-year, $229 million maximum extension with San Antonio on Monday afternoon, keeping him under contract through the 2029-30 season, according to ESPN.

The Spurs, with Fox, Victor Wembanyama, rookie of the year Stephon Castle, and this year’s No. 2 pick Dylan Harper, appear poised to be a challenger in the Western Conference.
