Letitia James 'wreaking havoc' on New York in ways voters may not even realize, GOP challenger says
Fox News Digital spoke to a New York Republican attorney general candidate about his campaign to unseat Democratic attorney general Letitia James in November of next year.
"This is now the second-longest government shutdown of any kind ever in the history of our country, and it's just shameful. Democrats keep making history, but they're doing it for all the wrong reasons,” Johnson told reporters at the daily news conference he's been holding in the Capitol.
However, since even before the shutdown began, the Trump administration has repeatedly responded to Democrats’ calls for healthcare subsidies to be extended by accusing them of wanting to give health care to undocumented immigrants who already do not qualify for federal programs.
The Senate returned to session today, Oct. 23, but how did they vote? Is the government open? Here's what went down.
The government shutdown stretched into Day 24 on Friday as the Senate failed to advance a measure to pay some federal workers.

Former Sen. John E. Sununu enters GOP primary race in New Hampshire for the seat he lost in 2008
New Hampshire Republican John E. Sununu announced a campaign for US Senate on Wednesday, hoping to reclaim a seat he lost nearly two decades ago and boosting the GOP’s chances of regaining a foothold in a region overwhelmingly represented by Democrats.
In an interview released late on Thursday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) told Politico’s Dasha Burns that 20 GOP senators are “grumbling” over President Donald Trump’s trade war with China, but that they “don’t have the guts” to criticize the president.
One GOP senator said she wants to see the former special counsel disbarred over his issuance of a grand jury subpoena for her phone records.
Republican primary heats up in New Hampshire as former Sen. John E. Sununu joins Scott Brown in the race for retiring Sen. Jeanne Shaheen's seat.
