The New Jersey roots of Adam Sandler's new movie "Happy Gilmore 2" gives a sense of how productions at Netflix Fort Monmouth will boost the Shore.

Happy Gilmore 2 will begin streaming on Netflix on Friday, July 25 at 12 a.m. Pacific Time, or 3 a.m. Eastern Time, on the morning of the release date. That means if you’re on the West Coast, you can watch Happy Gilmore 2 as early as midnight on Thursday night.

Netflix has just released Happy Gilmore 2, but whether it's actually going to be worth watching or not is an open question.

Happy Gilmore 2 is a sequel to the 1996 film Happy Gilmore. The sports comedy film is directed by Kyle Newacheck, while Adam Sandler wrote it with Tim Herlihy.

Netflix is about to release Happy Gilmore 2 tomorrow, but it is deleting the original film from its library the following week. Streaming, baby!

"Happy Gilmore 2" director Kyle Newacheck defended the decision to kill off Virginia, telling /Film: "There's always a concern when you're playing with that type of darkness. But I don't know, I was never really concerned because it is the driving force [of the film]. If you pull that out, then what do you have? You don't have anything real."
