PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov (26) is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after fracturing his left hand, according to a medical release published by PSG.

Goalkeeper Matvei Safonov, the star of Paris Saint-Germain's Intercontinental Cup win, has a fracture in his left hand the club said on Friday.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring for PSG seven minutes before half-time at the Ali Stadium in Qatar, before Jorginho equalised from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute.
