Per ESPN's Shams Charania, the Bulls traded Ball to the Cleveland Cavaliers in return for forward Isaac Okoro. Ball had been in Chicago since 2021, though most of his time with the Bulls was spent nursing injuries.

Ball reportedly heads to Cleveland after playing in his 1st season since missing the previous 2 seasons with injuries.

From a basketball perspective, it makes sense. Ball isn’t the same player who was the No. 2 pick in the 2017 draft. He may not even be on the court much in the 2025-26 season, given his long and rather scary injury history.
