LSU baseball played its best baseball game of the season in its series-clinching, 13-3 run-rule win over No. 2 Arkansas Saturday night. With a big implication on the line, the Tigers checked off the boxes in their process of winning list.

Baseball America had the Tigers ranked sixth coming into the week, but they made a massive jump to the top of their rankings after their series win over Arkansas. They surpassed the Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns, Arkansas Razorbacks, North Carolina Tar Heels and the Auburn Tigers for the top spot.
