After who knows how many years of waiting, Nintendo has finally unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2 — promising it’ll go on sale later this year. There are still a lot of things we don’t know, like pricing or an exact release date. But Nintendo might have sneakily revealed one of the games we might see at launch — a brand new Mario Kart.

The new Mario Kart game will be the first mainline release in the series since Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U in 2014. Given that it was the only game featured in the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal trailer, one can safely assume – for now – that it will be a launch title for the console.

There's still no release date for Nintendo's Switch 2 console and the launch lineup is a mystery, but one thing has been revealed: gamers can expect Xbox games to become available for it at some point.
