FAYETTEVILLE -- Fayetteville attorney Max Deitchler has resigned from his seat on the Washington C0unty Election Commission after representing the Democratic Party on the commission since 2014.

Fayetteville Democrat Max Deitchler has also formally announced his campaign for the House District 20 seat being vacated by Rep. Denise Garner, D-Fayetteville, who is running for Senate District 30.

Max Deitchler, the third member of the commission, agreed, pointing out some sections of the form actually contradict others. "Frankly, the whole thing is confusing as hell," Deitchler said.
