A Mega Millions ticket worth $100,000 was sold in New Jersey for Tuesday’s lottery drawing. The winner purchased the lucky third-prize Mega Millions ticket at Big J 99, a convenience store on Bergenline Avenue in Union City, Hudson County, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
Mega Millions remains the only lottery game to award seven jackpots exceeding $1 billion, each in a different state, according to lottery officials. Each ticket costs $5 and includes a randomly assigned multiplier (2X to 10X), which can significantly boost non-jackpot winnings. Drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. ET.
