Tesla Inc. Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said that Samsung Electronics Co. is taking a bigger role in manufacturing the carmaker’s chips, signaling that the South Korean company is making inroads in a market dominated by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.

According to the latest report, the entry-level Samsung flagship will just be called the Galaxy S26. A separate report claims that Samsung could cancel the Galaxy S26 Edge. So, that leaves the regular suspects: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Samsung is simplifying things for 2026. The Galaxy S26 lineup will ditch the rumored Pro and Edge models, bringing back the familiar S26 Plus instead.
