Seattle was on the lucky end of a strange play that forced overtime and helped them take over No. 1 seed in the NFC.
The Seahawks quarterback threw two interceptions but rallied Seattle from a 16-point deficit to win the game in overtime.
At that point Darnold had thrown two interceptions and no touchdowns and was getting mercilessly mocked on Twitter for not the first time in his career. Even Seahawks great Bruce Irvin joined in.
Naturally, fans were in awe of the play, especially after seeing the alternate angle and slow-motion version. In the clip, it was clear how Darnold sent the ball perfectly to Saubert, just a little to the side of the head of Rams defensive end Kobie Turner and above the defending Seahawks guard Grey Zabel.
