Back in May of 2022, Microsoft began testing a new, redesigned, and revamped Outlook where the idea was to unify the app across all platforms, which is why it was often referred to as "One Outlook".

Microsoft has threatened to take away Windows Mail and replace it with a new Outlook app. Now it’s already doing so, trying to wrest it away from you before its end-of-the-year self-imposed deadline.
