“Herschel has spent decades serving as an Ambassador to our Nation’s youth, our men and women in the Military, and athletes at home and abroad,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. Walker will “make Georgia, and our entire Nation, proud, because we know you will always put AMERICA FIRST!” he added.
The former NFL player, who lost his Senate race to Raphael Warnock in Georgia in 2022, has no clear ties to the Bahamas and little to no diplomatic experience.
