The Oscars will officially defy gravity in 2025. On Monday morning, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will bring their witchy magic to the Oscars stage.

The biggest stars of 2025 are strutting the red carpet Sunday for the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. Jon M. Chu’s “Wicked” led all films with five nods, tying the record for the most nominations in SAG history.

Doja Cat, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, LISA of BLACKPINK, Queen Latifah and Raye – will perform at the 2025 Oscars on Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The show also will feature a special appearance by the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

Though no tunes from the blockbuster musical were eligible for Academy Award nominations, the Oscar-nominated actresses have been enlisted to perform anyway.
