As the Golden State Warriors attempt to remain competitive in the final years of Steph Curry’s superstardom, several potential trade targets have come and gone.
On Tuesday, Brian Windhorst reported on ESPN that, so far, teams have offered “poo-poo platter” in exchange for Butler, who isn’t expected to sign an extension anywhere he is traded. Chris Haynes, of Clutch Points, reported that certain teams have been advised not to acquire him.
According to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, the Warriors are not a good team at getting to the free-throw line. “Some of that is just personnel,” Kerr told reporters Tuesday
Miami is being patient while Butler is suspended, knowing that other teams will start to get desperate near the trade deadline.
Despite speculation around Butler, the Warriors are more likely to target two other names on the trade market in Chicago and Brooklyn.
