Report: The New Orleans Saints plan to interview former Cowboys and Packers coach Mike McCarthy this week, pending visit with Eagles OC Kellen Moore:

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the former Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers headman removed himself from the New Orleans Saints head coaching race last night. McCarthy’s intentions will now be on the 2026 head coaching cycle.

When the Cowboys chose to hire Brian Schottenheimer as the team's head coach, it was reported that Moore was very much bothered because he thought he had the inside track here, having served as the top offensive coach up until two years ago, when then-head coach Mike McCarthy bumped him.
