A New York Giants Super Bowl hero is urging the team to sit rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart for the remainder of the regular season.
Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has been noticeably aggressive in his style of play since taking over as the club's starter.
Interestingly, although Dart has been criticized for not protecting himself enough as a runner, his injury happened on a designed run call by head coach Mike Kafka that gave the quarterback a pitch option to the outside but offered him the ability to run up the middle, as well.
Dart and Daniels represent bright futures for their teams. Daniels was Offensive Rookie of the Year last season. Dart has positioned himself to be a candidate this season. They also have a relationship off the field that began as high school prospects and continues now; they share the same quarterback coach.
New York Giants legend weighs in on Jaxson Dart’s injury risk as debates grow over playing time and protecting the rookie during a lost season.
