The Spanish Football Federation says midfielder Aitana Bonmatí has rejoined the Spain squad in Switzerland ahead of the team's opener in the Women’s European Championship on Thursday.

Two-time Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati has been discharged from hospital after being diagnosed with viral meningitis less than a week before Spain ’s Euro 2025 opener. The RFEF confirmed the 27-year-old will rejoin the camp ‘in the coming days’. The rest of the Spain squad will travel to Switzerland today.
