Connie Francis, the pop singer who released a string of hit singles including "Where the Boys Are" and "Who’s Sorry Now?," has died at the age of 87.
“Who’s Sorry Now” is one of Connie Francis ’s most well-known and celebrated songs, but it’s also one she had no intention of singing, only doing so after her father’s insistence. In fact, she tried to sabotage her own 1957 recording session to avoid singing the song.
M ore than 60 years ago, Connie Francis made history as the first woman to top the Billboard Hot 100. Just before her passing at 87, she found herself back on the charts — her 1961 song “Pretty Little Baby” went viral thanks to a TikTok trend.
