Jarren Duran laced extra-base hits in each of the first two innings and a quartet of relief pitchers worked 4 1/3 scoreless frames to help the Boston Red Sox post a 3-1 win over the visiting New York Mets in the opener of a three-game series on Monday night.

In Abraham's proposed trade, Duran would be enough to land Isaac Paredes in exchange, a right-handed infielder who could be an answer to the Red Sox's questions at first base. Fans might be calling for Anthony to get his shot in the majors, but trading Duran is a tough pill to swallow.
