The Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party will have a majority in the Minnesota Senate once again after their candidate won a special election in a Minneapolis district on Tuesday. Candidate Doron Clark held an overwhelming lead in election results late Tuesday in a DFL-dominated district.

DFL candidate Doron Clark won the special election Tuesday to represent the University of Minnesota area in the Minnesota Senate. Clark’s win gives the Senate Democrats a one-seat majority

Democrat Doron Clark has won the special election in Minnesota Senate District 60, confirming majority control for the DFL in the Senate. A special election was held in the district – which covers northeast and parts of southeast Minneapolis –following the death of Sen. Kari Dziedzic of cancer last month.
